Producers are animals, plants or a thing that makes food for other animals. A producer is a main food source for a Consumer. Producers are crucial for any animal, they are what start a food chain / food web and without them all the primary consumers would not be able to survive. Most producers are plants or small insects. Producers are herbivores they do NOT feed off animals or meat. They feed off of food made by them selfs. Which is way they do not eat anything and can live off themselves.
